Significant Figures: A Look Back at Lighthouse’s 2017

At Lighthouse, we always focus on having fun—and 2017 was no exception!  Let’s take a look back through the year that was!

Significant Figures: A Look Back at Lighthouse’s 2017

As we gather with friends and family for the holidays, I’m reminded to slow down and take stock of the past year.
So, in that spirit, I’ve made a little retrospective for Lighthouse.  I hope you enjoy taking a look back at 2017 with us!

December has always been a time of reflection for me.  As we gather with friends and family for the holidays, I’m reminded to slow down and take stock of the past year.  I like to think of it as taking a break when you hike to a beautiful summit—you think about where you’ve come from, what you’re seeing, and how it all will affect you on the path that lies ahead.

This process helps me to rejuvenate and start the New Year in a bright and optimistic frame of mind.  So, in that spirit, I’ve made a little retrospective for Lighthouse.  I hope you enjoy taking a look back at 2017 with us!

2017 By The Numbers

Here at Lighthouse, this has been a fascinating year to say the least!  We bid farewell to some old friends, and welcomed a handful of new ones!  We did some interesting work in retail, pharma, manufacturing, and technology, and even landed a new client in Saudi Arabia!  We strengthened our relationships, and formalized our partnership with CAST, the world leader in code analysis and software intelligence!

In short, 2017 saw us digging deep, kicking butt, and drinking a whole lot of coffee en route to fun and fulfillment!  Here are some significant figures from the year that was:

44 BELL RINGS: True to our namesake, we ring a ship’s bell every time we win a new deal.  Sure, it’s a bit loud and obnoxious—but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

$2.4M CLIENT SAVINGS: Thanks to our outstanding personnel and True North Testing Methodology, we’re helping our clients lower their software costs by finding defects earlier.

94% NETPROMOTOR™ SCORE: In the end, the business you win is only as valuable as the customer service you provide.  We’re happy to report that, yet again, our Operations team has exceeded all expectations by blowing our clients away!

2 NEW PRODUCT LAUNCHES: 2017 saw the rollout of our Software Tester Assessment (which we affectionately refer to as the Gauntlet) as well as the True North Testing Assessment—both of which have been very well received by our clients!

13 EVENTS: From industry tradeshows to featured breakout sessions, “lunch-and-learn” webinars to executive roundtables, our Sales and Marketing team killed it in 2017—getting us in front of thousands of new faces and improving the industry’s software quality IQ!

$1500 RAISED FOR HURRICANE VICTIMS: Whether it’s events like our annual Chili Cookoff, sweepstakes like our Super Bowl Squares, or $2 Denim Days, we’re doing our part in the wake of the devastating hurricanes this year.

31,000+ NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIBERS: Our monthly True North Newsletter is read by more people than the populations of the world’s four smallest countries—Vatican City, Tuvalu, Palau, and San Marino!

87,037 OUNCES OF COFFEE: Quality never sleeps—and neither do our employees, apparently!

1 GREAT BIG FAMILY: We don’t throw around the word “family” here lightly, but there’s really no other way you can put it.  A workplace is only as good as its people, and everyone here sticks together—through thick and thin!

It’s been our pleasure to serve you, partner with you, and have fun with you, and as always, we’ve had a great time.  Here’s to keeping the ball rolling for a stellar 2018!

We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holiday Season.  May you be safe and enjoy the peace and love of your family and friends.

Keep having fun,
